dawson is eight months.

here we are at eight months with our little dawson.  or should i say our BIG dawson!  look how big this baby is??

dawson has continued to grow at rapid speed right before our eyes.  my baby no longer feels like a baby.  he is CRAWLING now everywhere on all fours...and this kid is crawling fast.  i'm scared for when he is no longer containable.  ;0)  dawson now crawls all over the house, every room will be explored on a daily basis.  i find myself back to closing all the doors in the house that he is off limits to.  i can put him down in the living room and he will find himself going directly to their play room, it's quite cute to see how he knows his way around the house :0)  he is pulling up and standing up on everything too and i have no doubt we will have a walker by his first birthday.  also, i have no doubt that he will be standing on his own here in the next month because he is pretty much almost there with that.  i will lightly let go of his hands when he is standing and there are times he will be standing on his own until he realizes that he is and then he just falls.

in addition to growing at rapid speed, he is growing teeth at rapid speed!  this month all top four front are now in.  no wonder why we were going through a sleep regression last month!  the poor kid was growing three other teeth at the same time...EEEK!  thankfully now that his teeth have come in, he has been sleeping through the night for the past couple of weeks and it's been W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L!!!  i'm sure i totally just jinxed us in that department now that i actually said it out loud.  now that he has grown past his baby/newborn stage he is generally sleeping pretty well.  his morning nap lasts about 1.5 hours and his afternoon nap generally lasts 2+ hours so we are on track around here.  i'm finally starting to feel like a human again. 

dawson is really enjoying eating solids.  new foods we have introduced this month are pears, apples, peaches, mangos and chicken.  all which he loves!  he will still eat 3x/day solids and then 4- 6oz bottles/day.  he is no longer having a bottle in the middle of the night so he is making up for it with solids. 

he is still my big boy.  dawson is mostly wearing 6-12 month shorts/pants, 12-18 month onsies/bodysuits, 12 month sleepers, size 4 diapers and size 3 shoes.  i think he hasn't grown as much this month, that it's starting to taper off a bit, but there is no doubt this boy is a big dude.  i love it!

happy eight months my big boy!  mamma and dad love you SO much and you make us so happy every.single.day!
