dawson is three months!
things are starting to get to the normal side around these parts. dawson is a little bit more predictable and we are all starting to settle in some sort of a routine. things are easier and it's easier to breathe ;0)
this little boy is just the sweetest little guy. he is constantly smiling and cooing and is become more interactive. i love that he is not just a newborn blog that sits there anymore, he is starting to finally develop a little personality.
right now he is weighing in at 13 pounds, 7 oz which is pretty average for his age. however, he is a whopping 20 inches long which puts him in the 97th percentile for height! because of that, he is wearing 6 months clothes now because he is so freaking long. i think he is going to be the "big" little brother. rawley was about 11 pounds at this point, but was only 23 inches long so a pretty big difference.
he is starting to shorten his eating times {anywhere from 5-10 minutes per side} which makes it much easier in the day to stop and feed him. i think it is much better for rawley too since i'm not tied to the couch as much anymore. he is still eating about 6 times in the day, but it's much easier this way. i'm so proud that i have made it 3 months of breastfeeding when i only made it to 3 weeks with rawley! it's been a very rough journey, but the hard part seems to be over now. he still wakes up twice in the night, but it feels much better than every two hours with almost an hour of feeding time. ;0) naptimes are pretty much a bust, but i keep doing the same routine in hopes naps will just click for him. he is taking all his naps in his crib now and will sleep anywhere between 20-45 minutes. it's not much, but i will take the short down time so i can actually get things done and spend some quality time with rawley.
speaking of, rawley is interacting so well with his brother. he loves to sit and hang out with him while dawson is having tummy time or playing in his play gym. i have even caught him reading him a book to dawson....the sweetest thing i have ever seen.
i just love this little guy!
